Employee Spotlight: Preston Clark – Service Desk Technician

Preston Clark joined ISM with a strong technical foundation and a lifelong passion for understanding how technology works. Before coming to ISM, he worked at Montana Internet on the technical support team, where he gained hands-on experience with fixed wireless and fiber infrastructure while helping customers and field technicians troubleshoot complex issues. His interest in technology started long before that—rooted in childhood memories of watching his dad work on networks and security systems at home.

At ISM, Preston serves as a Service Desk Engineer, monitoring client environments and troubleshooting everything from workstations and servers to networks, printers, VoIP systems, and cameras. What he loves most is the challenge—digging into technical problems, learning new systems, and constantly expanding his skills. He’s motivated by growth and sees ISM as the perfect place to sharpen his expertise.

Outside of work, Preston thrives on competition. He enjoys watching and playing football, working on his car, hiking, and spending time with his cat. He deeply admires his mother, who taught him resilience and dedication—qualities he leaned on heavily while recovering from a spiral tibia fracture during his freshman year.

His favorites include Iron Man, The Hunger GamesHappy Gilmore 2, Santa Monica, and anything true-crime related.
